We are seeking a Java developer to join our high performance development team, developing a brand new paradigm in business intelligence. The work will potentially span both internal R&D efforts and external customer-specific projects. If you are into leading edge software development and looking for a role that will be instrumental in reshaping business intelligence for our customers, then this is the role for you. The successful candidate must be passionate about technology and have a desire to create applications that will change the way our clients do business.

This role is initially being offered as a 4-8 week contract position, with potential for contract extensions or full-time employment position.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Java /J2EE application development (web services, SOA, Java frameworks, design patterns)
  • Web application development (JSP, Servlets, Spring MVC)
  • Knowledge of web interface development (JavaScript , HTML, CSS and AJAX)
  • Enterprise database development (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL)
  • Java application server (Apache Tomcat, Jetty)
  • Software Lifecycle: Experience with agile development, unit tests, build scripts, deployment and change management.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Linux and Shell scripting
  • Google Web Toolkit Development
  • Dynamic scripting languages (Ruby)
  • Build Tools- Ant, Maven
